On the move when a great idea pops into your head? Use the Mindnode Home Screen widget to jump straight to a mind map and start capturing your thoughts.
For the quickest workflow, tap the button next to the arrow in the top-left corner and switch to Outline view. In this mode, Mindnode feels just like a notes app: Jot down ideas without worrying about nodes, connections, or layout. Once you’re ready, the app can automatically turn those notes into a beautifully structured mind map.
Bring Order to Your Notes on iPad
Once you’ve collected a handful of ideas, it’s time to organize them. Use Split View to keep your lecture slides or research material open alongside your mind map so you can add new information without losing your train of thought. Stickers, photos, and colour coding help group related topics.
Hit a creative roadblock? Simply select a node and let the app’s AI take over. It can suggest relevant subtopics or generate a logical structure to help you keep moving. You’ll find the feature in the bottom-right corner, next to the three-dot menu.
Reinforce What You’ve Learned
On iPhone, Focus Mode hides everything except the branch you’re currently studying, so you can zoom in on a single topic. Switch back to Outline view to review your entire mind map as a clean, searchable outline, and for larger projects, the built-in search makes it easy to jump straight to specific terms—perfect for a quick review on the train or in the final minutes before an exam.
